Assertion Skills

This 1 day course is aimed at junior managers and staff and incorporates a range of psychological techniques, tips and strategies to effectively assert oneself and attain positive outcomes. The latest knowledge regarding the psychology of relationships will be shared, which may be applied to personal, social and work contexts.

After the initial theory encompassing passive, aggressive and assertive behaviour, delegates will learn how to use communication strategies and body language to increase assertiveness, and enjoy an extended 'learn by doing' session in order to effectively appropriate The Rules for Behaving Assertively.

Behavioural Safety

This 1 day course is aimed at junior to senior managers who are responsible for reducing accidents and injuries in the workplace / on site. The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 and the Health and Safety (Offences) Act 2008 have increased awareness of the crucial need to improve workplace health, welfare and safety.

This course is aimed at the business / corporation that already has effective safety management systems in place, and has built a strong safety leadership and culture - and now wishes to focus on behavioural safety on site.

After the initial discussion on heath and safety, the focus of the course is on inspiring people and influencing behaviour to achieve heightened awareness of working safely and to ensure actual safe working on site - with particular focus on site staff, operators and sub-contractors.

Communication and Influence

This 1 day course is aimed at middle to senior managers and shares very popular and leading-edge communication, psychology and life strategies that inspire personal, social and professional success. It will include techniques from neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), and aims to enhance and develop communication and relationship skills, as well as teach how to influence others to achieve mutual goals.

This is not a course full of boring facts; rather it focuses on creating a rapid personal and positive change within each delegate via a 'software upgrade', as well sharing pragmatic and influential body language techniques.

Creative Thinking and Innovation

This 1 day course is aimed at middle to senior managers and is based on right-brained or lateral thinking. You will be given the latest techniques in creative thinking and innovation, and the focus of the course will be on 'learn by doing'. There will be a range of exercises designed to get you thinking out of the box and viewing scenarios from a fresh and creative perspective.

This is probably one of the most interesting and fun courses you will attend, as we look at creative thinking and innovation case studies around the world, and then apply what we have learned to our own business.

Here is something to get you thinking:

You are driving your sports car and pass a bus stop where you see three people waiting. One is your best friend, one is the man or woman of your dreams, one is a sick old lady who needs to get to hospital. There is only room in your car for one passenger. What would you do?
